[1] Moose International, Inc., is a State of Indiana Corporation.

[2] Wendell Wayne Wallace, sponsored by Watertown, South Dakota Lodge No. 1310, was one of the first Mooseheart graduates in 1919 and is living in Moosehaven today. (As of 1993, the printing of this Trivia.)

[3] The first Mooseheart Hall for the children was Aid Hall. Today this is where the Moose Museum is located.

[4] The Auditorium was named the "Roosevelt Auditorium" after Theodore Roosevelt. He was a life member of the Moose.

[5] The first Supreme Secretary of the Loyal Order of Moose and the first Superintendent of Mooseheart School was Rodney H. Brandon, Superintendent from 1913-1915. He also served as acting Superintendent in 1953.

[6] The first building built on the Mooseheart Campus was the United States Post Office. It was originally built as a General Office Building and Train Depot for the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railway.

[7] The first school at Mooseheart was built in 1918. Today this building houses the Plant and Construction Department.

[8] The first sport offered at Mooseheart wasn't football. Baseball started in August, 1914.

[9] One of the boys on the first baseball team and football team was our famous Mooseheart Football Coach Johnnie Williams. He was Head Football Coach from 1937 to 1961.

[10] Before Pennsylvania Baby Village was built around 1925, the Baby Nursery was located a mile and a half from Mooseheart proper, called the Merrill Farm. They didn't want the babies to catch contagious diseases that might break out among the older children.

[11] Loyalty Hall (Legion Building) was the first hall built to hold 125 boys, in 1914.

[12] Progress Hall (Massachusetts) built in 1917-18 held 64 girls from 3 1/2 to 18 years of age.

[13] Mill Creek was dammed up in 1914 to make a lake for the children.

[14] More than 500,000 fish from Mississippi were released in the Mooseheart Lake in 1924.

[15] Mooseheart children went to school 50 weeks per year. They had one week off in the summer and one week off during Christmas.

[16] Ornamental Concrete was the first Boy's Vocational Course to be taught at Mooseheart (from 1913 to 1966) and they only had one instructor, Mr. Frank Deni.

[17] In 1919, the Varsity Football Team beat Rochelle 134 to 0 under Head Coach Ben A. Oswalt.

[18] Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Lodge No. 54 had 28,000 members in the 1920's. This one Lodge paid for Philadelphia Memorial Hospital at Mooseheart (1920). Today the building houses the Deans, The Counseling Services and the Alumni Office.

[19] WJJD (Mooseheart's Radio Station) started on Founder's Day, October 27, 1924 at Mooseheart. Mechanical apparatus had been housed in the Women's Building and there were two 150 foot towers erected, one on each side of the building.

[20] Thirty five states and four provinces of Canada listened to W.J.J.D. Radio Mooseheart, Illinois, in 1924. (W.J.J.D.= W. James J. Davis)
